Simply Fine San Antonio Homes

David Simon’s business life in San Antonio can be neatly compartmentalized.

His first fifteen years were spent in retail jewelry, during which, as a storeowner, he was recognized by the professional level of Registered Jeweler he reached with the American Gem Society.

The next sixteen he published magazines, for his own company as well as for San Antonio’s Greater Chamber of Commerce and Free Trade Alliance. He got his start in real estate with a newcomer magazine, which helped to broaden his scope of interest for San Antonio as well as for his chosen profession of Realtor.

A resident of San Antonio for 35 years, he has been involved in quite a few civic activities. He has been a Kiwanis member and as an early advocate for the arts, a founding member of the Business Committee for the Arts, a supporter of the San Antonio Symphony, McNay Art Museum, Southwest School of Art, and other groups.

In addition, he has organized volunteer efforts for homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, Brooke Army Medical Center’s Warrior Center, and the Jewish Community Center.

Finally, but by no means least, serving for three years as president of the Vance Jackson Neighborhood Association, an amalgamation of 15 smaller neighborhood associations, has helped crystallize his love of city and neighborhoods, bringing everything into focus as he concentrates his efforts in this fast-growing city and metropolitan area.
